So you want to know more about Thomas Keeley…
Let’s use the ever-popular (and often annoying) “25 Random Things” meme to help us get better acquainted.
- I’m left handed and write with a hook that often frightens people.
- I get annoyed with the phrase “new media,” especially when talking about blogs. What’s so “new”?
- Air conditioning makes me extremely tired, so when I drive in the summertime, I often have the air on with the windows down.
- I’m probably one of the few “tech guys” in DC who would be just fine without a Blackberry, and still probably be the first to respond to an email.
- I don’t think I’ll ever be able to understand the concept of running for fun. If I’m not chasing (or being chased by) someone or something, what’s the point?
- Despite the fact that I first learned computers on Mac’s, I’m 100% PC.
- Favorite movie: Garden State
- Some say I work too much; I like it that way.
- I’ve stayed at a variety luxury hotels over the last few years, but my favorites are still the Double Tree and Holiday Inn Express.
- I get extremely frustrated with conservatives who try and discount green technology as “liberal hype.” Simple economics, people…
- Despite the fact that I openly identify myself as a geek, I’m not a gamer.
- Top bands to see live: Dave Matthews Band and O.A.R.
- I’d rather start my own business than “work my way up the ladder.”
- I’m always in research mode. I try to read at least 20 different articles per week.
- Even though I’m always tough on the City of Milwaukee, I’m confident that with the right leadership it can return to the thriving metropolis it once was.
- Despite what people think, I really have no ambition to become a politician. I like to help good people get elected, then go fight the bad guys.
- In college, I was banned from writing from the campus newspaper, so I started two of my own.
- My top issues: School Choice, Flat Tax, Balanced Budget
- I’m always writing down ideas on the most random things. Most common: receipts from Potbelly for some reason.
- I’m quite certain that I’m slowly developing an addiction to Twitter.
- Despite what any poll says, I’m confident that Wisconsin will have a new Governor in 2010.
- Oh, and a new majority too.
- Favorite Senator: Jim DeMint
- Least favorite Senator: Arlen Specter
- Favorite serving Democrat: Gene Taylor (D-MS)
